Before Issac is born, God changes Abram’s name to Abraham and gives him the sign of the covenant he has made with him, which is circumcision. This is objectively a very odd practice so why did God choose it to show the significance of his promises but it also has a much deeper meaning to it that points to Christ and what he has done for us.
