A Greater High Priest

Tonight's Topic: A Greater High Priest - We have all, from time to time, needed a mediator in our lives. Someone who will go on behalf of us to another party because we believe they will be more successful than us. This was the role of the priests in the Old Testament; the greatest of these mediators was the high priest. But these mediators were imperfect and constantly needed to be replaced and so they were only a shadow of a greater high priest that was to come. Jesus is that great high priest and he is superior to all who came before him because he is without sin and he will never be replaced because he lives forever.
