A Discerning Heart

When Solomon takes the throne after his father David, God appears to him in a dream and tells him to ask for whatever his heart desires. Solomon asks for a discerning heart that is able to know right from wrong so that he can lead God’s people well. This is a request that greatly pleases God and so we would do well to meditate on this.
