Jesus - Fully God, Fully Man

The message reviewed the importance of Jesus - God the Son - having become fully human. Our passage was Hebrews 2:5-18, which reasons that Jesus HAD to be made fully human so that he might make atonement for the sins of the people through his death, and that by his death he might break the power that death once had over us. We saw that Jesus's humanity was predicted through multiple promises and prophecies of the Old Testament, and that the New Testament writers were deeply distressed by heresies of the time that claimed Jesus may only have been a spirit, and that he did not take on flesh.
